Here’s something to think about: the meek are the poor.

I’ve come to believe that the meek and the poor are essentially the same, as seen in Isaiah 61:1 KJV and Luke 4:18 KJV. To Father God, the poor and the meek are alike, and as long as you remain poor, you will inherit the earth. I’m not making this up—the poor will inherit the earth, living with nothing but meekness and poverty. When you encounter the poor—not the homeless, but those who have little and seem to get by—in the eyes of Jesus Christ, this still isn’t enough; they must truly be poor.
